Welcome to God Chat, by REVIVE.

Hello everyone, welcome to God Chat, a community gathering place where people can dialogue about God. Every kind of person is welcome. Even if you don’t believe in God, we believe that if you give us a chance and hear our story you might be surprised by what you learn about Him. We encourage you to share your story and perspective with us too, as long as it’s done respectfully.

God Chat is part of REVIVE, a ministry, a project calling everyone to die. Not literally, but spiritually, psychologically and emotionally. Die to their old self, old ideals, old conceptions, old perspectives, old sins. REVIVE was born out of the desire to let people learn the truth about God’s character, how passionate He is about us and how much He has done to let us know we can trust Him, we don’t have to fear Him. We want our dialogues to contrast the lies that have been told about Him in religion, media and any other way. The whole idea of God Chat, however, is NOT to be a place for philosophies, debates and bickering, but learning about the heart of God, His desire for humanity and growing in us the same passion for the world that He has.

Christianity, defined by the life of Christ, is intensely practical. Living out the heart of God should be the desire in everyone’s heart. So, as far as possible, we should focus into living an other-centered life and helping others. We will have opportunities for people that want to be involved with REVIVE to make our society better, taking care of the needs of people who are suffering out there.

Our first dialogue topic will be up soon. We will also have our first face-to-face meeting this Friday night, April 3, at 7:30 pm in Lincoln, NE, if you are around the area, let us know if you want to check us out. We are trying to setup a recording of the session and post it as a podcast that night. Cross your fingers.
